A nasopharyngeal virus collection and preservation kit that contains a plastic, flocked swab made with a jet embedded nylon technology to improve the efficiency of virus collection. Nylon on the surface of the swab is adhered vertically and uniformly which helps to optimize sample collection and a quicker release of cells into the liquid preservation solution. The virus storage tube contains 1-2ml of a high-quality preservation medium formula for optimal release of the virus into the media.
